The Round 4 game of Badgers v Donkeys shaped up as a blockbuster and didn't disappoint on the night.
The Eather brothers Archie and Fred had leading roles to play in opposing teams and in the end it was the Badgers who took home the bacon in a tightly fought contest. Whilst both Archie and Fred both completed all four boulders it was the communication and team-work that ripples throughout the teams that ultimately matters and how that transfers to the scoreboard.
The Badgers took the early lead with two first up flashes on boulder A and unpacked the strength based black boulder well. The Donkeys had to fight hard and clawed back the lead on boulder B and at half time the score was 24 to 22 to the Badgers.
The Badgers extended their lead on boulder C and the Donkeys just couldn't chase it down on the final boulder D finishing the game Badgers 51 to Donkeys 43. Good game.
These teams have played each other twice now and it's now one all. All teams have a break now before the second half of the season kicks off on May 6. The Hornets have an extra game up their sleeve.
