Round 9 was the final round game of A Grade with Badgers v Hornets.  It was a dead rubber by way of the leaderboard but plenty happened and there was plenty gained.

The Badgers simply crushed it on the night and took the win 90 - 65.  However, despite the lop-sided score line, it was a good show all round.

The Badgers mixed up their squad and player roles and positions in a bid to experiment with the finals concoction.  There were no individual standouts in a team that gelled well and performed well.  Bring on the finals they say.

The Hornets were missing some key players but the team on a whole arguably put in their best performance of the season.  Kyle Fensbo and Ben Hope led the way up front for the most part and were well supported by the young troops of Lachie French, Tom McAlpine and Beau Henry on debut.

It was 21 all after the first quarter but the lead opened up dramatically in the last half.  Not that it mattered to the crowd as the energy was high and good vibes in the house.

The Badgers now go straight into the grand final on 29 June and the Hornets will take on the Donkeys in the semi final on Mon 17 Jun.
