The Opens Club Championship features the athletes with the highest grade scores from each club regardless of gender. If you're good enough, age isn't a barrier either.
There are many examples of women being every bit the equal to their male counterparts in this sport and the Donkeys will have this on show come next Friday night. Nikala Murray (featured above) and Georgia MacAlpine will represent the Donkeys. Competition is not new to either of them having both competed in T4L 21 at the end of 2022 so they'll know what to expect. And both have also represented at higher individual levels.
The Donkeys have the most diverse club in the T4l with teams and players from all ages and many places - including teams from Narrabri and the New England. Not surprising then that they're the largest of the three clubs with currently 137 registered players across all divisions. The result is that they also have plenty of depth and that's a healthy thing come finals time.
But they'll have their work cut out for them as the Honey Badgers are clear favorites and look to build a dynasty. The Hornets are also peaking at the right time.
In finals, anything can happen.
