2022 - The year in review
2022 has been an interesting and magnificent year for Ten4 Bouldering. Starting out the year with covid uncertainty, things have simply grown from strength to strength.
Ten4 has transitioned from a minor to into a major sport in Tamworth underpinned with a strong supportive culture that we're proud of. There's' now an established Primary 5/6 comp, an inter-high school competition as well as a regular high school teams competition. The Opens now has three established Clubs with a Club Championship and a regular teams competition. The contribution Ten4 makes goes well beyond these walls.
There are many acknowledgements that need to be made as this is very much a collaborative effort from a lot of people that makes it what it is.
Thank you to Nikala and Bindi in particular for the tireless work they do. It's huge. Thank you to Brendan and Greg for the work behind the scenes. The setting team in 2022 consisting of Sasha Gerzha, Nikala Murray, Jake Sharpley, Ben Hope, Archie & Fred, Liam Smith and Zac Craft have consistently delivered interesting and challenging problems so thank you guys. It's a tough gig done well and we thank you.
There are so many volunteers that singling out is too much so thank you for each and every one who have contributed this year. From scorers, judges, setting and stripping team helpers, catering, building help, the list goes on so thank you.
The Tamworth representative athletes again proved themselves on the big stage with major accolades to brothers Fred and Archie who both won their respective divisions at State and at National with Archie representing Australia in Dallas at the Youth World Championships.
Thank you to our sponsors and Partners. Mountain Equipment, Solarhart, NSE Energy, Department of Regional NSW, Tamworth Family Dentist, The Healing Room & Simon Tydd Physiotherapy, Simon Byrnes Excavations, local high schools and the many members of our community.
