The Snails from McCarthy (MCC) have finished 2024 in style taking out the high school division of the T4 League Spring season.
The Chameleons held a healthy lead with two rounds to go but they needed this as the Farrer contingent of their team were away for those last few rounds and a chase down was possible. And it was the Snails who were most likely to do so.
It wasn't easy, they had to fight for it. They needed to win the final round to leapfrog the Chameleons on the ladder. They did just that finishing in front on 27 points ahead of the Chameleons on 26 points. The Mustangs from Carinya finished in third on 16 points which is a best ever result from a Carinya team.
The team consists of (left to right: Duncan Krogh, Adam Clemson, Logan Rust, Kobe Lane, Caelan Lane (absent in photo).
There were 39 teams this season across all local high schools so this is no easy feat. The Spring season closes out 2024 and is arguably the toughest season of them all as the end-of-year fatigue kicks in.
Now enjoy your well deserved break and we'll see you in 2025.
