The high school second grade game in the Vilimaa Cup typically has an unpredictable outcome.  Capacity is never in doubt but how players work together from different teams across different schools is unknown.

The Donx and the Badgers had some last-minute player shuffles but the Hornets were ready.

It was a see-sawing game on the scoreboard with a range of different players across all teams working well together.  In the end, there was nothing separating the Donx and the Hornets in the dying minutes.  When Amalie Chambers topped boulder D with one minute left on the clock, the Hornets opened up a small lead and that was enough. Cracking game with a cracking finish.  Hornets 72, Donx 69, Badgers 59.

This was also the first time the Hornets have featured on the Vilimaa Cup trophy so well done to the green team.
