With the T4 Boulder League now being played across the entire Newcastle Hunter and central coast region, the opportunity for a representative team is now a reality.

Pulse Climbing has four gyms that cover the whole region from Maitland to Gosford and for the first time ever, there'll be a representative team playing in the Vilimaa Cup in Tamworth on Nov 30.   The Newcastle / Hunter team will be playing in the High School 1st Grade division and there's no shortage of talent in this region.

Hunter will take on the top grade high school teams from the local clubs the Hornets, Donx and the Honey Badgers.  The Honey Badgers have had a dominant 2024 to date so this will no doubt add another dimension to the challenge and take the whole event up a notch.

The program on the day will see a slight variation.  All four teams will play a semi-final qualifying game first with the highest scoring two teams competing for the Cup in the final later in the day (identical to the Kaputar Cup).

This could well see the start of a genuine NSW regional competition pathway and what a cracking way to close out 2024.  Bring it on!
