Teamwork simply means a collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal in the most effective and efficient way. The T4L is primarily a team sport so whilst your own efforts contribute, effective teams involve looking at the sum of all parts. Let's look at some fundamental factors that make up a good team in the league:
1. Teamwork - The T4L system rewards consistency and growth so turning up for each other is key. When you work together the learning is amplified so it pays to help out in your team wherever you can and contribute. This also means that you have a responsibility to do your best each week because a half-baked effort will negatively affect your team. We all have bad days from time to time but not trying is on you. Show up and have a crack.
2. Friendship - whilst not essential, good teams in our league tend to have a common friendship ground. It makes you more accountable and you will keep showing up for one another when there's a personal connection at stake.
3. Communication - The T4L has flexible scoring times for adults so good communication is often required to ensure a collaborative team effort is achieved by the end of the week.
4. Collaboration - There are strategies you can apply to achieve the desired outcome. It's a 9 week season so sound communication and collaboration can dramatically effect the outcome.
5. No hero's - Working together is everything. There's a pathway through the Club Championship competition to excel for the high level athletes so don't let this affect your team contribution.
6. Respect - Respect for each and every team member is at the heart of our sport. It's the hallmark of a good human and important to our total community.
